[106] On Wandering

Today I wandered endlessly along unknown paths

—as yesterdays I've done before. To meet with courage the wild’s calls,

to meet wise elders and eager eyes, as I moved along the songlines—

of cultures' past, carrying stories

and opening hearts.

Today I lived moments—of every hue,

searching for a hint of you.

Long and windy grows the path,

known yet unseen, seen yet not known,

sometimes clear,

sometimes not

as my consciousness carries me

gently through— to pause, and take a view,

continually finding clues —

revealing hidden truths and sparkling eyes, bringing light to the dark.

Today I wandered far,

sitting in one place.
