[145] An Ordinary Day

I want to live an ordinary day

full with long moments

filling me whole

caressing my soul,

with hearts that beat,

ground and astound,

giving me flight—

not holding court

and selling me short.

Stop, count time

it's not unbound

what's sacred,

should be lived

so we transcend

not at the end,

but in the here

and now.

I pause and think

as I lay—

how should I live

this ordinary day?
