[177] Showing Up

The flower doesn't show up all on its own,

it depends on bees to pollinate what has been sown

A wave cannot create its music without wind

or a creature lifting it to a ripple,

or the shore allowing it to break in song.

Even when appearing lifeless and static—it moves,

drawing energy from the sun and the moon.

This is how we recognize

the sea as the sea

the sand as the sand

the cliffs as the cliffs,

it's how they show up together

that makes them unique,

stand tall and strong, among many.
