[44] Of Earthly Delights

Oh to see the speed of a gazelle crossing grasslands,

the stretch of a giraffe reaching tall heights,

the found wisdom in an elephant’s wrinkled eye,

the giving tears that water the fields,

sad eyes that still give, so others can feel,

hands that offer promise to another one’s cares,

and the broadest smile that begs to take flight,

reminding us to recognize all of our plights,

along with the sweetness of earthly delights.
