[70] Tender Goes The Earth

Into the future we must go

brave and strong evermore.

Walking the line, breaking the line

held by the energy

of the cosmos,

and metal and wire,

chips and bright screens,

and nature living green and brown

in the red dust

of another day.

Light and darkness, joy and tears,

pull and push and ebb and flow—

and passion living red in the waters of our veins.

With breath—stand straight, shoulders back,

tilt forward, into the vastness of known and unknown

—for tender goes the earth, and the heart beats.
